Most Brandon Schools Close for Veterans Day

The national holiday is Monday, Nov. 12 this year.

As people across America recognize men and women who have served in the armed forces, students in Brandon schools will get a day off. All Hillsborough County Public Schools are closed Monday, Nov. 12, in observance of the holiday. Most Hillsborough County government offices will also shut down for the day. Lutz students return to class on Tuesday, Nov. 13, but they won’t have to hit the books for too long. The Thanksgiving/Fall Break runs Nov. 19-22, according to the school district’s calendar.
