Video: Inside the 'Catastrophic' Seffner Sinkhole

Hillsborough County officials release a video that shows the inside of the sinkhole at 240 Faithway Drive in Seffner that claimed the life of Jeffrey Bush on Feb. 28, 2013.

  Hillsborough County officials have released the first video of the inside of the sinkhole that on Feb. 28 swallowed and claimed the life of Jeffery Bush, 36, at 240 Faithway Drive in Seffner. At the time, the sinkhole, reported to be about 20 feet wide and 60 feet deep, was described as both "catastrophic" and "unprecedented." The house has since been razed. The video, shot the morning after the incident, was taken with a small camera attached to a pole that was slipped inside Bush's bedroom window, according to the Business Insider report that credits ABCActionNews reports for the video. The situation had been reported to be too tenouous to allow for a recovery mission. Bush's body has never been recovered. Family members at the scene …

Seffner Saga Continues With 4th Sinkhole Report

The latest potential sinkhole was reported on Peach Avenue in Seffner, about 3 miles from the catastrophic sinkhole that claimed the life of Jeffrey Bush on Feb. 28.

  Reports this week have surfaced about a potential sinkhole in Seffner, just weeks after the Feb. 28 catastrophic sinkhole that claimed the life of Jeffrey Bush at 240 Faithway Drive. The latest report, concerning a duplex on Peach Avenue, follows the reported opening of a sinkhole March 23, between two homes on Lake Shore Ranch Drive in Seffner. It follows the sinkhole discovered on Cedar Tree Lane, which followed by days the Feb. 28 sinkhole that claimed the life of Bush, who died after the bedroom he was sleeping in was consumed by a catastrophic sinkhole at 240 Faithway Drive. Hillsborough County Fire Rescue and code enforcement officials were on the scene this weekend in Seffner for the opening of another sinkhole, which has, as expected, led to a another round of comments from Brandon Patch readers.

  The latest sinkhole to open in Seffner has heightened the concern of residents in Greater Brandon and beyond, as evidenced by their concerns posted in comments to a recent Brandon Patch post. "Someone needs to figure out why these sinkholes are happening and we all need to keep a lookout no matter where you are," wrote Brandon Patch reader Stacie Jones. Another Sinkhole Opens in Seffner

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue was on the scene March 23 in Seffner for the opening of another sinkhole, the third once since Jeffrey Bush died in a sinkhole at 240 Faithway Drive on Feb. 28.

  Hillsborough County Fire Rescue was on the scene Saturday night, March 23, where a sinkhole reportedly opened between two homes in Seffner. It was the third reported sinkhole in Seffner since Feb. 28, when Jeffrey Bush 36, died after the bedroom he was sleeping in was consumed by a catastrophic sinkhole at 240 Faithway Drive. That sinkhole, described as "unprecedented," caused the home to be demolished and the two neighboring homes to be evacuated, leaving many families, including the Wicker and Jaudon families, displaced. A second sinkhole opened up in Seffner days later, between two homes, at 1204 and 1206 Cedar Tree Lane. Celebration of Life Tonight (March 19) for Seffner Sinkhole Victim Jeff Bush

The community memorial for Jeffrey "Jeff" Bush is set to begin 7 p.m. tonight, March 19, at the Bell Shoals Baptist Church in Brandon. Bush lost his life Feb. 28 in a sinkhole in Seffner, at 240 Faithway Drive.

  A celebration of life for Seffner sinkhole victim Jeffrey "Jeff" Bush is scheduled for tonight, March 19, at the Bell Shoals Baptist Church in Brandon. The community memorial has been organized by the Greater Brandon Community Foundation, more commonly known as the Brandon Foundation, and its Angel program. The foundation also has spearheaded one of several drives under way to help families displaced by the sinkhole rebuild. The memorial is in the chapel at Bell Shoals Baptist, at 2102 Bells Shoals Road in Brandon. Community Aids Displaced Seffner Sinkhole Victims

A memorial service is planned for Seffner Sinkhole victim Jeffrey Bush as a community reaches out in support of family members and residents displaced in the tragedy.

  What remains from the now-demolished Wicker home at Faithway Drive in Seffner is a piece of blue-colored wood with the numerals 2-4-0 cemented on it for eternity, or for as long as the family holds on to this piece of treasured homestead remembrance. Also in their possession is the flag that adorned that house and the contents recovered from within, the most honored of which are those that have deep family meaning, such as the family Bible and old family photos. As the family rebuilds, and seeks out more permanent shelter over the long term, a second family, the Bush family, prepares for a community memorial for Jeffrey Bush, the 36-year-old man who lost his life n the sinkhole Feb. 28. Memorial Announced for Sinkhole Victim

Jeffrey Bush's family has disclosed the details of a public celebration of his life. Bush lost his life Feb. 28 in a sinkhole in Seffner, at 240 Faithway Drive.

The family of Jeff Bush – killed when a sinkhole opened up under his bedroom – announced Tuesday that a public celebration of the Seffner man's life will be held March 19. According to WTSP.com, the memorial service will be at 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 19, at Bell Shoals Baptist Church, 2102 Bell Shoals Road in Brandon. The service will be inside the chapel. The family is asking that in lieu of flowers to send donations to the Brandon Foundation's Sinkhole Family Relief Fund, WTSP.com reports.
