The Plant City Police Department seeks the public's help in apprehending an armed robber who fled with money stolen from the BP gas station at 2010 North Wheeler St. in Plant City on Tuesday, Jan. 15. According to the report, at about 4:38 p.m., the thief, a white male, waited for patrons to leave the store, then, brandishing a handgun, "approached the counter with an 18-pack of Busch beer. "He pointed the gun at the clerk and demanded she give him the money from the register," the report notes. "The clerk complied and the suspect fled from the scene on foot." The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has released a surveillance video showing two women stealing about $3,000 worth of merchandise from Sephora at the Westfield Brandon shopping mall.
How much was enough for the thieves at work at the Sephora cosmetics store in the Westfield Brandon shopping mall? Apparently, only a few steals wouldn't do, as a surveillance video released from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office shows the two women hauling away enough perfume to top about $3,000. The theft reportedly occurred Nov. 23 at about 7:40 p.m., when two women entered Sephora carrying large bags and "worked together to select and conceal the items in their personal bags." The theft from the store, at 116 Grand Regency Blvd., reportedly occurred Nov. 4 at approximately 3:40 p.m. The thief is seen on surveillance video leaving the store in a gold Toyota Camry. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a man allegedly caught on surveillance video robbing the Hess Express in Dover, at 12877 East U.S. Highway 92.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has reported the arrest of a man who allegedly robbed the Hess Express in Dover, at 12877 East U.S. Highway 92. Arrested is Michael Dean Croft, 41, 908 North Ferrell St., Plant City. Croft faces a charge of robbery. The robbery reportedly took place Oct. 6, at about 7:39 p.m., when Croft allegedly entered the Hess Express and asked the store clerk for change. After the clerk opened the cash register, "the suspect reached into the register draw, placing the clerk in fear, and removed an undisclosed amount” of money, "then fled the scene on foot," according to the sheriff's report.
