Reserve Now To Dine With Lighting Coach Guy Boucher at Copper Bell Cafe

Guy Boucher, head coach of the Tampa Bay Lightning, will be "Cooking for a Cause" at the Copper Bell Cafe in Riverview on Aug. 25. All proceeds and gratuities from the four dinner buffets will benefit Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure.

Brandon Chamber's Bracewell Cooks for a Cause, YMCA Benefits

The Copper Bell Cafe's "Cooking for a Cause III” celebrity chef event July 9 featured Tammy Bracewell of the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce, with proceeds earmarked to send kids to YMCA camps at Brandon, Campo and Camp Christina.

  A crowd of diners made their way to the Copper Bell Cafe in Brandon on July 9, where Tammy Bracewell, president and chief executive officer of the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce, served a dish of spaghetti and meatballs for the cause of sending children in need to summer camp programs at Camp Christina, the Brandon Family YMCA and the Campo Family YMCA. For Bracewell, it was her third showing at the Copper Bell Cafe annual fundraiser and each year she has cooked for the same cause. "You get a full belly, you promote a local business, you help kids at the Y and you get free delivery from Take Out Butler," she said. "It's a win-win-win-win for everybody." The third Copper Bell Cafe celebrity chef event for "Cooking for a Cause III” was held June 25 in Brandon. Jen Holloway of Bright House Networks earmarked proceeds and gratuities for the Hillsborough Achievement and Resource Centers.

  Heavy rains from Tropical Storm Debby hit Brandon on June 25 but not enough to waylay plans for the third week of "Cooking for a Cause III" at the Copper Bell Cafe in Brandon, where Jen Holloway, marketing manager for Bright House Networks, served a tasty dish of tortellii bruschetta for the Hillsborough Achievement and Resource Centers (HARC). "The weather was today's challenge but we still did a bunch of servings and deliveries," said Darren Dennington, Copper Bell proprietor and president-elect for the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce. Hillsborough County School Superintendent MaryEllen Elia is set to open the latest round of "Cooking for a Cause" at the Copper Bell Cafe in Brandon today. 'Cooking for a Cause' Brings Needed Aid to Brandon Outreach Clinic

The kickoff lunch for "Cooking for a Cause III" drew heartfelt eaters to the Copper Bell Cafe on June 11, where State Rep. Rachel Burgin donated her time as celebrity chef to aid the mission of the Brandon Outreach Clinic.

  Deborah Meegan, executive director of the Brandon Outreach Clinic, had a lunch worth remembering June 11 at the Copper Bell Cafe in Brandon, where State Rep. Rachel Burgin was "cooking for a cause." Burgin's charity of choice as celebrity chef for the day was the Brandon Outreach Clinic, where Meegan works to carry out the mission of providing primary and diagnostic health care to those who are unable to afford it. "It's a neighbor-helping-neighbor event and I get to eat lunch and tell people about the clinic," Meegan said of the celebrity chef event. "It's a win-win." The fundraiser, now in it third round, features local community leaders as celebrity chefs for the cause of giving back to their selected charities. Copper Bell Cafe owner Darren Dennington said the previous drives raised a combined $26,000.

  A new round of "Cooking for a Cause" is set to begin Monday, June 11 at the Copper Bell Cafe in Brandon, with a complementary round of celebrity chef offerings to follow at the Copper Bell Cafe in Riverview. Darren Dennington said of the effort, now in its third year, that he is proud to have donated back to the community some $26,000 as a result of the first two years of Cooking for a Cause. The premise is simple: Dennington invites community local community leaders to serve as celebrity chefs on their designated day for the fundraiser. Dennington and his staff, sometimes with the aid of the celebrity chef, prepare the ingredients for the meals the night before.
