Solemn Salute, Grand Sweep Mark A Brandon Tradition

Watch the traditional start to the 2013 Greater Brandon Fourth of July Parade, starting from moments before the 10 a.m. kickoff.

Right before the 10 a.m. start of the 2013 Greater Brandon Fourth of July Parade, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office's colorguard stood in formation in front of the Rough Riders float to stand in salute to the national anthem.

Behind them, scouts stood in solemn salute as well.

Moments later, as is the tradition, colorguard members made the turn at Lumsden Road and Parsons Avenue to signal the official start of the grand parade.
