At The Korean War Memorial Dedication In Tampa

A video and pictorial look at the July 27, 2103 dedication ceremony of the newly opened Korean War Memorial at Veterans Memorial Park in Tampa.

At Veterans Memorial Park in Tampa on July 27, 2013, veterans, their families, friends and residents gathered to dedicate the newly opened Korean War Memorial, 60 years to the day the Korean War armistice was signed.

Aging soldiers said they were honored, but burning bright were the heart-wrenching memories of friends who never came home from "The Forgotten War," overshadowed by World War II, the so-called "great war," which ended five years before the start of the Korean War, in 1950.

In this Brandon Patch report, pictures from the Korean War Memorial dedication ceremony and a video showcasing the talents of the Tampa Bay Korean Women's Chorus give testament to the day's emotions. The voice-over relays facts that were published in the ceremony's printed program.
