Uncle Mike's Hiring For Brandon And Upcoming Plant City Locations

Two days of job interviews have been set for Uncle Mike's Smokehouse Grill. Sought are servers, bartenders, hostesses, bussers, deejay, security and more.

Mike and Simone Tolley, owners and operators of Uncle Mike's Smokehouse Grill, are getting set to hire staff for both their Brandon location and upcoming second location, where Cowboys Steakhouse and Saloon used to be in business, at 106 East State Road 60.

According to a Facebook post, Uncle Mike's is hiring for all positions — servers, bartenders, hostesses, bussers, security, door girl, promotion staff, deejay and more.

Interviews are to be held all day Monday and Tuesday, July 15 and 16, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Plant City location.

The 11-acre site features both an 8,000- square-foot log cabin building and a 3,000- square-foot open pavilion that the Tolleys will be using. Also on the site is a 10,000- square-foot retail building that might be used in the future and an 8-acre arena that will be used for quarterly events, such as bike shows and rodeos.

At a press conference June 3, Mike Tolley said the old saloon was to be gutted and  refurbished into a family friendly eatery, featuring barbecue selections with a smokehouse flair.

Following the Aug. 8 opening, Uncle Mike's will continue its Plant City debut celebration with live county music Aug. 9 and 10, featuring Plant City's The Clemons Road Band.

For information about employment, call Simone Tolley at 813-644-6888. Visit Uncle Mike's Smokehouse Grill online.
